Founded in June 2001, BWS, a subsidiary of Woolworths Limited, has evolved from a local bottleshop to become a prominent Australian liquor store chain. As part of Woolworths Freestanding Liquor Division, alongside the Dan Murphy’s brand, BWS operates nearly 600 stores nationwide, primarily within ALH Group locations. Not to be confused with Woolworths supermarkets, BWS operates independently from Woolworths Liquor and Safeway Liquor stores in Victoria. The inaugural BWS store opened its doors in Cabramatta, New South Wales, situated on the former site of a Woolworths-owned Mac’s Liquor Store.

As a liquor team member, you are instrumental in meeting customers’ beverage and event requirements through your extensive product knowledge, customer-focused approach, and proactive involvement. Your duties encompass offering product suggestions, working collaboratively with the team, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, engaging in physical tasks, and adhering to responsible alcohol service protocols.
